Wedding Party Flowers

Leis, boutonnieres, bouquets, flower crowns. There are multiple ways to accessorize your wedding party with flowers. Choosing arrangements that are unique to your wedding style is a great way to add to your otherwise standard group portraits.

One trend in particular that we love is making bouquets unique to each bridesmaid.

Family and Special Guests

We’ve seen flowers implemented in multiple ways to honor the couple’s family and their guests. Classic examples are lei for special guests or boutonnieres and corsages for parents. Something that we find really special is when our clients order an arrangement for a loved one who has passed and our floral team pairs it with a portrait or places it on a seat reserved in their honor.

Ceremony

We love using flowers to define your ceremony space! As a matter of fact, we suggest you invest a major portion of your flower budget towards the ceremony flowers. That might seem strange for the shortest part of your wedding celebration, but a lush altar or stunning aisle arrangement will not only make your wedding stand out, but many of the arrangements can be repurposed for the reception afterwards.

Pro tip - one of our favorite small floral elements that makes a big difference for the photos are toss petals!

Cocktail Hour

The cocktail hour is one area where a little bit of flowers goes a long way. We are big advocates for having floral accents placed on the bar, cocktail tables, lounge and seating chart. This is a simple way to ensure the cocktail hour decor ties in with the rest of the wedding.

If you have some wiggle room, we suggest splurging on one large focal arrangement for the cocktail hour. Pictured here is a large arrangement we made as a centerpiece the centerpiece for the champagne table. It took this simple tabletop escort display to a new level. We’ve also seen beautiful flower backdrops for photos or lush hanging arrangements over the bar. Choosing one area to pop will give your cocktail hour a little something extra to make it look thoughtfully styled.

Reception

When we think of reception flowers we of course think of centerpieces! Beautiful arrangements to adorn your guest tables is a key area to invest your flower budget. Something that we love to see is when our clients opt for several different styles of centerpieces. Having varying heights and shapes of arrangements creates visual interest across the reception space.

If you really want to elevate your wedding aesthetic, we highly recommend splurging on one to two focal arrangements for the reception area. Some of our favorites are cascading sweetheart arrangements, epic hanging arrangements over the dancefloor and growing arrangement flanking a band’s stage.
