Kimi and Jon’s Warm and Romantic Wedding at Capitol Modern Museum
Kimi and Jon’s wedding at Capitol Modern felt like the perfect reflection of who they are, thoughtful, genuine, and full of joy.
From the ceremony through the final song, there was this effortless energy surrounding the entire celebration. They embraced the museum setting in such an intentional way, choosing mauve florals that brought softness and romance while still allowing the architecture and artwork to remain part of the experience. Rather than overpowering the space, the design highlighted it.
One of our favorite details was their seating chart installation, where the fountain was filled with flowers and transformed into something guests couldn’t stop admiring. It felt artistic, immersive, and completely at home within the museum setting.
After the ceremony, cocktail hour unfolded in the sculpture garden, giving guests the chance to wander through the art while reconnecting, grabbing a drink, and settling into the celebration. It created such a natural transition into the evening and set the tone for what was ahead.
And then there was the energy.
Kimi and Jon’s wedding party absolutely delivered, bringing signs of the couple’s dog, Maple, and a basketball hoop onto the dance floor, which made the day feel even more personal and playful. Those are always the details we love most, the ones that feel unmistakably like the couple.
As the sun went down, the tent lighting cast the most beautiful glow across the front lawn and completely transformed the atmosphere. The dance floor stayed alive all night long, packed with the kind of joy that you can feel just as much as you can see.
And because Kimi and Jon know how to end a celebration right, the night closed out with Taco Bell for everyone.
It was romantic, and delightfully fun from beginning to end, and we feel so grateful to have designed and planned a day that felt so genuinely like them.
