Danica and Kevin’s Thoughtfully Crafted Wedding at Lanikuhonua

Danica and Kevin were the kind of couple who make you feel genuinely lucky to do this work. Thoughtful, gracious, full of heart—they were a dream to collaborate with. With full lives in Texas, they approached planning from afar with so much trust, creativity, and kindness. From the very beginning, it was clear they wanted their wedding to feel meaningful, relaxed, and completely them. And that’s exactly what we created together.

Their day was a joyful celebration of their Persian and Philippine roots, brought to life through vibrant design and heartfelt details. Danica is incredibly creative, and it showed in the most delightful ways. She hand-stitched drink menus, embroidered handkerchiefs for loved ones, and added thoughtful DIY touches that made the whole day feel warm and personal.

The overall design matched their energy: bold, textured, and full of joy. We leaned into bright, saturated colors and layered tropical elements with unexpected pairings. Think playful blooms, richly textured linens, and little moments of visual delight that felt just like them. Danica’s love of cross-stitching even became a design motif, tying everything together with creativity and care.

Their ceremony honored both cultures in a way that felt natural and deeply joyful. You could feel how much it meant to everyone in the room. And because they cared so much about their guests' experience, hospitality was at the heart of every detail.

Cocktail hour featured fresh-shucked oysters from Oysters Hawaii, a showstopping tropical fruit display by Island Fusion, and a shave ice and halo-halo cart from Kalele Eats that had everyone smiling.

From start to finish, Danica and Kevin’s wedding was filled with love, laughter, and joyful energy. It reflected not just their shared values, but also their warmth, creativity, and the deep intention behind every choice. It was a day that felt like them in every way—joyful, meaningful, and full of heart.
